Summer Newletter
Happy Summer Everyone, I hope you are all having a great time off.
Not long now till the big Uckfield event the Carnival, which is my favourite time of year!
The schedule has gone out so please get familiar on what group your child is in, all practices will be at the Studios in Bell Walk, opposite Pets Corner. This week (Monday 19th August) I will be sending out details for the day and evening event, this year we are going bright and glittery! If any parents would like to walk with us that would be great please just let me know but there is lots of flyers and water etc to hand out.
Also, the other big thing that’s been happening is moving premises! I am so excited as its bigger and better, free parking, Barneys a couple of doors along who I am sure we will be collaborating with! More classes and more discount if you do more than 2-3 classes. We are having an open week from Monday 9th– Saturday 14th September, a chance for new students to try any class and existing students to try something new for FREE! We are also having an open day on Sunday 15th September, this is a chance for you to come and have a proper look around the new unit, register your child in a new class and order any uniform. We will also be running taster sessions in classes all day, as well as have a variety of stalls up in the car park such as face painting, sweets, books, toys and looking into hiring a bouncy castle and ice cream truck! So make sure you come down 12-4 pm.
We have also been invited by anytime fitness to have a stall on Luxford Fields on Saturday 14th September promoting
sports and others clubs. I will be asking a few dancers/Cheerleaders to come down and showcase what we offer by doing a couple of demos by our stall.
I'm sure you have all noticed the name change any new uniform that was ordered before summer will have the new logo and any moving forward will now too. But this is due to the business being just mine now, please note Spirit Elite Cheer squad is remaining the same name. We have Team Apps for both Spirit Elite and RB Arts Academy, just download Team App onto your phones and search the names. Lots of details on there with terms dates and the store to buy uniform. We will also be moving to new databases so please keep a look out for new enrolment details as well as we are moving to Direct Debit so now is the time to cancel your standing order.
New classes this year are Private singing lessons, Sling class for mums and babies, Mummy and Me Class, a Friday morning fitness class for adults, PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), Two more Competitive Cheer Squads, Three more Competitive Stunt Squads, Tumble Duets and Solos, Open Gyms, Stretch and condition classes, Flyer Classes, Jump Technique, Competitive Dance Troupe, Solos, Duets and Trios and finally we will be starting Gymnastic Tumbling on Saturday mornings!
Our Ballet, Acro, Tap and Modern classes are also expanding for more grades. We now have an Adult beginner tap class, which has space and Adult intermediate tap class, which is full. Clubbercise is
coming back on Thursdays and we are hoping to introduce Drama lessons/privates, more adult classes, as well as classes for the older generation.
This year we have more exams planned, Festivals and competitions for the new dance troupes, workshops, fetes, events and our bi-annual show! Spirit Elite will be attending 4 competitions this year 3 new ones, showcase, events and fetes, fundraisers and a choreography camp for our comp squad. As well as they will be getting sparkly new uniforms!!
